The many people who have visted us have found a happy and purposeful school community and we have had lots of pleasing feedback. As an indication of our growing reputation we are now considerably oversubscribed.

We are committed to improving our school and staff at Alder have many opportunities to improve as teachers and leaders through a personalised CPD programme. We have strong links with an outstanding school in Stockport and part of the A+ Trust, which is a group of 5 high schools, 1 special school and a sixth form college working together to drive up standrads across Tameside.

In 2014 we received an SSAT Educational Outcomes award. Earlier this year we were one of just 9 schools across the North West to receive the Pupil Premium Award 2015. In June 2014 the school was judged to be Good by Ofsted.
