Advertise and manage response quickly and easily
As one of the largest schools in the country, Bay House School and Sixth Form has 2,200 pupils and over 220 staff. Last September alone, the school had to recruit 27 new members of teaching staff. Having used HireWire since February, the school has placed numerous adverts via the site.
Ruth Cousins, PA to the headteacher, is greatly t aken with the service. 'I think it's a terrific idea and I love the way that with a few clicks you can get an advertisement out there really quickly. I placed ten adverts over the course of a short period during the busiest time of the recruitment season and found it so easy!'
This ease of use was core to HireWire's 18-month development phase, during which time a wide variety of schools and recruitment experts were consulted at every stage to ensure the finished product reflected their recruitment needs.
Ruth has been used to more traditional recruitment methods, but is keen to tell everyone, that if she finds the service easy to get to grips with, then anybody can use it. 'Having been in my job for 20 years now, I'm not that technically savvy,' she explains, 'but I must say I'm finding the service really easy to use; and in the event that I have wanted help, the Support Team have been on hand to offer assistance and provide some great tips.’
Like any other busy school PA, Ruth's work never finishes when the bell goes at the end of the day. Thankfully, she can now log on to HireWire to check on the progress of any of the school's adverts and applicant status updates from home as well as the office.Previous case study Next case study
