Streamline your recruitment process
HireWire is proving to be incredibly useful to the teaching community precisely because the needs of schools were taken on board during its development phase. Right from the start, it was crucial that the application was quick and easy to use for already overworked teaching and administration staff.
Rob Earrey at Fitzjohn's Primary School in Camden is just one of many headteachers involved in the development of the site. He believes HireWire has turned a labour-intensive process into a quick and easy one. 'My deputy head and administration assistant both use the site and picked it up within about ten minutes. It's just a very intuitive system and does exactly what it says. There's a simple logic to it that makes sense. Importantly, it has avoided business-speak and the language used is the kind that educationalists understand.'
Mr Earrey is confident that anyone with zero training on the application could pick it up quickly and, as he says, that's the sign of a really good service. 'You can see where the links are going to take you. For example, the process of managing the candidates is very easy. You just add ticks to the names of the candidates you want to perform an action against and then use a drop-down menu. I also like the way that you can move a candidate through the various stages of the recruitment process and email them at any point to let them know what's happening with their application'.
'All in all, I think it's brilliant... I'm obviously using it because I was involved in its development, but the most exciting thing is that many other schools have now realised how useful and time saving it is too.'Next case study
