TES HireWire makes coveted short-list for BETT Awards 2010

TSL Education announces TES HireWire, its revolutionary, free online recruitment service for schools, has been short-listed for a prestigious BETT Award at the forthcoming BETT 2010 awards.

The BETT awards held annually, recognise and reward the very best new digital products exclusively designed for the education marketplace. TES HireWire has made the exclusive shortlist of five products in the Leadership and Management solutions category - a remarkable achievement for a product that was launched just 8 months ago.

The free TES HireWire service is revolutionising teacher recruitment and is already being used by 50% of all secondary schools in the UK with over 15,000 teachers already registered as candidates and more than 1,600 vacancies in schools filled as a result.

Bill Donoghue, Digital Media Director at TSL Education, said: "Our strategy at TSL Education is to help schools recruit the best teachers for the right roles in a fast and cost-effective way. TES HireWire supports that strategy and helps professionalise the recruitment process at the same time. We are delighted to hear we have reached the finalist stage in the leadership and management category of these highly prestigious awards. This is a significant industry endorsement of our investment in TES HireWire and to the reaction we have received from schools. We have had an outstanding response from schools to TES HireWire, which is making a very big difference to how they manage their recruitment."

TES HireWire was designed and developed with teachers to allows schools to manage their recruitment process seamlessly online, from advertising a vacancy in any media to evaluating the responses and making an appointment. In addition, teachers enjoy a better experience when applying for jobs thanks to improved communication with the schools and a quicker application process. TES HireWire has now established itself as the market leader in England.

Following the popularity of TES HireWire with schools, TSL announced in July this year, that in January it will launch a version of the service for local authorities. Some 40 local authorities - including 10 of the largest in the country - have already opted to be early adopters of the service. TES HireWire LA will provide local authorities with a completely free, hosted job board, a free applicant-tracking service and free reporting on recruitment activity. In addition, TES HireWire LA can be easily integrated into existing local authority applications and processes.
