Hopwood Hall College

Hopwood Hall College, located in Greater Manchester, is a tertiary college and caters for students ranging from under 16 years of age through to retirement and beyond.

The college is set on two campuses. The Rochdale Campus is in the heart of Rochdale, a town 12 miles north east from the centre of Manchester. This campus is home to our Centre of Vocational Excellence (COVE) in Early Years Development and Childcare.

The Middleton Campus is located in its own grounds in the green-belt and is only 8 miles north east from the centre of Manchester. The college has recently opened a £2.4 million sports facility called The Sports Arena @ Hopwood on this campus and it is home to the Hopwood Boxing Academy, where students mix skill acquisition in Boxing with an educational qualification. We intend this campus to become a Centre of Excellence (COVE) for Sport with the development of further Sport Academies and a higher education Foundation Degree in Sport. A major redevelopment of the site, with a substantial new build, has been completed in 2005.

The college also runs many courses in its 30 or so outreach centres in the local community.
