Clinical Fellow in Cardiac MRI

The Cardiac MRI service within the Division of Imaging Sciences and Biomedical Engineering, is seeking an experienced clinician with interest in cardiac MRI (CMR). The post holder will have relevant experience in cardiology and/or imaging. The post holder will ideally be trained to SCMR level 2 or equivalent and hold GMC registration and up to date Advanced Life support accreditation recognised within the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for the post holder to gain SCMR level 3 within the year.

This role will be a clinical post with a research component. The post holder will primarily work in the field of cardiovascular cardiac MRI. The post holder would undertake at least five diagnostic lists per week with a further two sessions for reporting time. The rest of the time will be available for research, working on a number of research projects devised by Dr Amedeo Chiribiri (Head of Clinical Non Congenital Cardiovascular Imaging) and Dr Gerald Greil (Head of Congenital Cardiovascular Imaging).
The ideal candidate would be looking for experience in CMR imaging to further their medical career or alternatively be seeking a years clinical research experience which would allow them time to write grants and apply for further fellowships which may lead to further academic work.

The appointment will be made within the salary scales for Clinical Research Associate and Fellow , currently £31,301-£41,564 plus £2,162 London Allowance per annum
