Research Associate in Physics
Grade 6, £33,518 - £39,992 per annum
Plus £2,923 per annum
A postdoctoral research associate position to work on single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) array detectors for Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) is available in the Physics Department at King’s College London with Prof Suhling. The project involves setting up a fluorescence microscope for polarization-resolved FLIM using time-correlated single photon counting detectors made by Prof Henderson’s group in the School of Electronics and Electrical Engineering at Edinburgh University. It will be applied to cell membrane studies in collaboration with Prof Parsons, Prof Santis and Dr Ameer-Beg in the Faculty of Life Sciences at King’s. The candidate would ideally have a background in physics or similar, with a strong interest in biology.
The salary will be paid at Grade 6, £33,518 to £39,992 per annum, plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
This post will be Fixed Term Contract for 36 months (3 years).
This is a Full-time – 100 % full time equivalent.
The selection process will include competency based questions and a panel interview.
