Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant in the School of Cancer and Pharmaceutical Sciences at King’s College London.
This post is funded by Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund to work on a project entitled “Validation of the PAK4:PI3K nexus as a therapeutic target in pancreatic cancer. The project will involve a number of cell biology related skills, in particular the culture and transfection of mammalian cell lines, confocal/fluorescence microscopy, time-lapse analysis of migration, biochemistry and molecular biology as well as exploiting CRISPR technology.
The applicant will have a BSc or equivalent in biology/biomedical sciences or a related subject. A PhD in cell biology is desirable and previous experience of cell imaging would be preferable. Ideally the candidate should have knowledge of the field of cell migration and cytoskeletal dynamics.
The post is offered as a 3-year fixed-term contract at Grade 5, £30,175 per annum plus £2,923 per annum London Allowance.
