The School of Population Health and Environmental Sciences (https://www.kcl.ac.uk/lsm/index.aspx) is seeking to appoint an individual with exceptional skills to lead the data analysis and intelligence for the internationally renowned Sentinel Stroke National Audit Programme (SSNAP). This is a key role within the SSNAP team where there will be opportunities to build on the work of the past 5 years which has seen significant improvements in the quality of stroke care in the UK partly facilitated by the frequent, timely and detailed reporting outputs which appear in the public domain. There are opportunities to develop improved analytical tools, visualisations and innovative ways of reporting structure process and outcomes of stroke care in the UK. There will be opportunities to collaborate with senior academic, policy, clinical and third sector partners and to write for publication.

The post holder will be experienced in data analysis of large datasets, have exceptional mathematical and programming ability as well as experience in using statistical software and writing scientific reports or publications. The software currently used is STATA but there is advanced, ongoing work to convert to R and so experience of either or both of these packages would be required. The dataset has recently expanded and will continue to grow and so the postholder should be able to demonstrate that they can assure the continued quality of reporting for regular and new measures and quality assurance of all outputs in addition to advising on methodology and testing of new items.

The selection process will include a panel interview, and a presentation.

This post will be a fixed-term contract up until March 31st 2021.
