Mayfield School Special school changed its designation from SLD and PMLD to include pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties. The school is now operational on three sites which are 12 miles apart. 
We are currently seeking a number of exceptional individual’s to join our  team at Mayfield School in September 2016, who have the qualities to work with children with Severe Learning Difficulties and experience significant barriers to learning. 
We have a number of posts available including a permanent full time post, one permanent 0.4 FTE post (2 days per week) and a temporary maternity cover post of 0.6 FTE (3 days per week). We welcome applications for all posts individually or combined. 
You will have a caring and child centred approach; with an ability to show  empathy, perseverance, personal resilience, patience and an ability to work flexibly as part of a supportive team.
You will have qualified teacher status, an up to date knowledge of primary and secondary curriculum and a passion for improving the outcomes of the children in your care. 
The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate: high expectations of achievement, a vibrant and creative approach to learning, commitment to excellence and outstanding outcomes in both academic and emotional and social development, and an ability to develop positive relationships with pupils.
