St Olave's Grammar School

St. Olave’s Grammar School is widely recognised as one of the finest in the country (Sunday Times State School of the Year 2008). We are a forward-looking school which celebrates a long and distinguished history, a reputation for high academic and extra-curricular achievements and a record of innovation combined with the best traditions of English education.
St. Olave’s is a Voluntary Aided selective school which admits four forms of entry of boys at the age of eleven and takes both boys and girls into the Sixth Form. The most recent OFSTED inspection in November 2006 judged the School to be “Outstanding”. We are described by The Times as being “among the best schools in the United Kingdom”, by the Independent as one of the “state schools’ elite”, and by the Daily Telegraph as a school which “aims for excellence in everything it does .... and succeeds”.  The School gained Specialist Status in Mathematics and Computing in 2004 and Science in 2008.
St Olave’s provides a secure, happy and stimulating environment in which our students and staff can make the very best of their talents to achieve success in all that they do. This is a purposeful and busy place where you will find the highest standards of work, commitment and courtesy. We aim, above all, to be an inclusive, caring and successful learning community.
St Olave’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
