William Farr CE Comprehensive School

William Farr CE Comprehensive School

William Farr is a popular, oversubscribed, rural comprehensive school with Science College and Leading Edge status, and RAPP specialisms. There are over 1500 students on roll. A-level and GCSE results are exceptional. In the 2006 OFSTED inspection the school was judged to be ‘outstanding’, and our 2009 inspection confirmed this remarkable achievement. On 1 January 2011 the school achieved Academy status.

William Farr School serves a wide rural area in the West Lindsey district, including the larger villages of Welton, Dunholme, Scothern, Sudbrooke, Nettleham and RAF Scampton. A large number of pupils also come from outside the immediate area. The school is consistently oversubscribed and we are well aware of the responsibility that the school's reputation and popularity places on us in meeting the expectations of parents and pupils.
