Supply Classroom Assistant

We are seeking Supply Classroom Assistants to provide cover, on an ‘as and when required’ basis, for permanent members of staffs’ absences. There may be some longer engagement opportunities.

All potential candidates must be able to demonstrate :
• previous experience of working in either a secondary school or primary/nursery setting i.e. an educational setting
• knowledge and experience of working with children with additional needs
• ability to support the work of the Class Teacher
• ability to work under own initiative
• ability to work as part of a team
• hold a relevant academic qualification

General Information for all Donaldson’s Supply Classroom Assistant Posts:-
- The hourly rate for supply cover is calculated on a scale point between 10 - 14 plus Special Education Needs (SEN) Allowance: (£10.51 - £11.35 per hour);
-- Donaldson’s is a bilingual (English and British Sign Language (BSL)) environment. BSL skills for this role would be beneficial but in-house training can be provided.
- All individuals joining Donaldson's will require to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups children list via Disclosure Scotland.
